Morland is just a 15 minute walk away from the cottage where you can see the Saxon tower of Morland Church - the oldest Cumbrian building still in daily use of it's original purpose.
In the centre of the village, overlooking Morland Beck's waterfall is the delightful Mill Yard Cafe & Bistro which is a great place to relax and have a drink and a bite to eat. It's open 7 days a week and they also serve evening meals on a Friday and Saturday. There's a deli section selling locally sourced food, home made cakes, beers, wines and gifts.
Also in the village square, you have the Crown Inn and for a bit of retail therapy there's the Travelling2 outfitters shop, in Morland House's converted stable block.
